The Hochschule Darmstadt (h_da) is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Germany. About 50 undergraduate, graduate, and master's degree programs with many self-selectable priorities offer the best career opportunities for its 15,000 students. The spectrum of courses ranging from engineering sciences through information technologies, social work, social sciences and economics to architecture, media and design. Applied research and development at the h_da enriches the excellent teaching and strengthens the business enterprises of the region through technology and knowledge transfer.

Nearby, you will find many cities rich of culture such as Frankfurt am Main (20 min.), Heidelberg (40 min.) or Mainz (20 min.). Frankfurt, Germany’s financial centre, is the head-quarter of the European Central Bank (ECB) and the hometown of Johann-Wolfgang von Goethe. Heidelberg is known for its famous castle and stunning flair in its historic centre. Bright carnival is celebrated in Mainz and many heritage sites take you back in the past.

Prof. Dr. Ralf Schellhase, Academic Director MBA programme The MBA programme is aimed at young executives wishing to enhance their professional skills with a sound management qualification. Graduates from non-economic disciplines are the primary target group of this part-time course as well as those, who have studied Economics as a first degree and wish to expand their skills in the areas of decision making and management orientation. Time Structure The structure of the MBA programme conveniently enables participants to combine a career with continuing education. No time off work is necessary, and the entire programme can be completed parallel to full-time employment. The programme has a modular structure and offers the individual the possibility of adjusting the learning pace to one’s own needs. Classes take place on Thursday or Friday evenings (5.45 to 9.00 p.m.) and all day on Saturdays (9.00 a.m. to 4.15 p.m.) during the university semester. There are 15 weeks per year where no lectures are held. Admission requirements Graduation from a first degree programme/an above average economics or non-economics university degree Adequate basic knowledge of Business Administration. Applicants, who do not have adequate basic economic knowledge, are expected to take preparation courses. A minimum of three years of professional experience after graduation. Comprehensive knowledge of the English language. Admission deadline Applicants with German University degree: The admission deadline for the winter semester (which commences in October) is July 15th of each year. Applicants with foreign university degree: The admission deadline for the winter semester (which commences in October) is June 1st of each year. Fees The tuition fees are set by the Steering Committee of h_da. The tuition fees for the MBA programme amount to € 15.900 (€ 3.975 per semester). They cover all expenses for teaching, books, learning materials and institutional costs. Fees are payable in four instalments (one instalment per semester). Each preparation course costs € 500. In addition all students matriculated at h_da are required to pay the semester fees, which are approximately € 265 per semester. Alumni: Graduates of h_da will obtain a discount of 20% on the tuition fees of the whole programme. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Hochschule Darmstadt (h_da) – University of Applied Sciences offers Scholarships for outstanding personalities. Alumni of TUD and h_da obtain a discount of 20% on the tuition fees. [-]
