EIT RawMaterials Academy - AMIS

About us

What is the EIT RawMaterials Academy?

EIT RawMaterials is part of a unique European initiative: EIT, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, and is the largest and strongest consortium in the raw materials sector worldwide. EIT’s educational mission is to raise a new generation of innovators in Europe with an entrepreneurial mindset. The EIT Label is a certificate of quality that is awarded only to excellent educational programmes at the Master and Doctoral level.

As a student of an EIT RawMaterials Labelled programme, you will be part of the largest global raw materials partnership – with more than 120 partners from over 20 EU countries coming from industry, academia, and research institutions. The EIT RawMaterials Academy brings together all of the educational activities of EIT RawMaterials and offers several masters and doctoral programmes to students. These programmes are delivered and awarded by Europe’s top universities in the raw materials field. They offer unique content which supports students to develop their innovation and entrepreneurship skill while providing an international study experience in at least two European countries. All programmes are taught and assessed in English.

Your collaboration will contribute to the EIT RawMaterials vision of finding new, innovative solutions to secure the sustainable supply of raw materials across the entire raw materials value chain – from mining to extraction, processing to reuse, recycling and circular economy strategies – while equipping you with the tools, knowledge and experience to build a highly successful career in raw materials.

Are you interested in:

  • Becoming a global game-changer?
  • Collaborating internationally to develop creative and sustainable solutions to resource and societal challenges?
  • Gaining practical experience in your chosen industry sector, rather than only learning theory in a lecture hall?
  • Getting involved in a dynamic start-up scene?
  • Enhancing your educational experience and obtaining dual/joint degrees by spending each semester at different top universities?
  • Becoming part of the EIT Alumni Community?

Then the EIT RawMaterials Labelled programmes are for you!

Financial support for students

The RawMaterials Academy offers scholarships of up to EUR 9,000 per student who wishes to pursue a master’s programme, with additional financial support for student involvement in conferences, summer schools and other events. Further scholarship opportunities are available for selected programmes through national or European funding bodies.

EIT RawMaterials Alumni Association

A major benefit of studying an EIT RawMaterials labelled programme is membership of the exclusive EIT RawMaterials Alumni Association. This brings together participants from the full range of EIT RawMaterials activities, including master’s and PhD programmes, start-ups, business idea competitions and professional development courses. The Association draws on the diverse talent and experience within the EIT RawMaterials community to give its members networking and professional development opportunities not only within raw materials but also by providing links, through EIT, to the wider EIT Alumni. This brings together colleagues from the Raw Materials, Climate, InnoEnergy, Digital, Food and Health innovation communities to develop innovative solutions to societal challenges, and support the professional development of its members.
