It began its activities after accrediting its study program on 24 April 2001 and granting state approval on March 15, 2002 from the academic year 2002/2003. The School of International … [+] and Public Relations Prague, VOŠ, SOŠ, Gymnázium, sro was the successor organization of the School of Management and Services Prague, founded in 1991 as one of the first private schools in the Czech Republic. Besides Prague, it had its subsidiaries in another 6 locations in the Czech Republic. The change of name has prompted the transformation of educational content into international relations, diplomatic services, public administration and public relations, ie those fields of study which in the upcoming period of information society development will form the basis of a professional structure of the labor market and socially desirable and recognized qualifications. The school is included in the network of schools of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic. On the basis of the administrative procedure, VŠMVV Praha obtained on 10 November 2008 from the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic "Permit to provide university education in the territory of the Slovak Republic in accordance with the legislation of the Czech Republic" for bachelor and postgraduate study programs International and Public Relations. Following this, the Education and Consulting Institute of VŠMVV Praha in Bratislava was established, allowing the study of international relations and public administration. At present, the new project is to build a primary and nursery school. The result should be a comprehensive and comprehensive system of education from nursery to college. And at the same time fulfilling the goal, wishes and reference of Mr. Alois Houdek. 7 Reasons to Study at Our School 1. Friendly and friendly environment At our school we do not recognize that a student is just a number. From the first meeting, after school, to the final graduation, when the Rector speaks friendly with you (because he will remember you from the Cultural Anthropology he led), you will live in a school where people know each other and recognize each other! 2. Meeting with personalities During your studies you will meet not only former and current but also future personalities. It will be you! You and your classmates will become political commentators, diplomats and representatives of the Czech Republic in the future (see what is happening at the Premium Student Club). Which other school can you say you have been in trouble with the Foreign Secretary or Ambassador in Qatar? 3. World view and outlook We closely follow international events. If previously "Latin Latin" was English, other languages are now significant. Therefore, for example, we are introducing Chinese and Arabic teaching (all study plans here) from next year. We closely monitor current geopolitical developments, especially European, Asian and Islamic. We want you to lead the education of Czech politicians, journalists and diplomats! 4. Background and Knowledge - Leadership tools It is said that whoever does not know history is condemned to the eternal repetition of his mistakes. That's why we do not learn about our school but learn connections. Knowledge and experience - these are the most powerful tools of your future career! 5. A school like the Babylonian tower Our school is in the best international sense. Young people, from the peaks of Pamir to the French Alps, are studying. You will meet different cultures here and you will have the opportunity to travel to Europe, especially within the Erasmus program. Because only one who knows foreign languages and knows a foreign country understands his homeland and can lead it! 6. We offer scholarships and no hidden fees Our tuition is complete and final. It contains everything you need when you study on schedule. Unlike other Prague schools boasting lower tuition fees, we do not hide exam fees and other things. On the contrary! We offer a wide range of discounts - you can get an accommodation and social scholarship, a scholarship benefit, a tuition fee for work as an auxiliary scientific force, a discount for bringing your friend and a big discount to mark the anniversary of the school's existence, to fool hidden charges elsewhere! 7. Career from the first day Studying with us will open your doors to the world and to many institutions. We provide tens of internships to major companies and government agencies for our students every year. Thanks to them, you will have experience that you will not get anywhere else. Start your career while studying!

Praxis-oriented: One would be hard-pressed to find a program that provides as much practical exposure to filmmaking. M… [+] ore than 400 films are shot per year at Prague Film School and students in the year program participate on as many as 30 productions. The operating principle of Prague Film School is training, and we believe as with instruments or with languages, the only way to develop fluency is to practice. High-end facilities: Prague Film School is well-stocked with the latest cutting-edge equipment used in professional film productions throughout the world. Students have immediate access to the school's fleet of cameras, including RED, Arri, Canon and Sony high definition cameras, in addition to high-end lighting, sound and grip. Intensive: The type of student who chooses Prague Film School comes to us because he or she has essentially only one year in terms of time or financial resources to cross from where he or she is in life at the moment into the world of professional filmmaking. We then have only one year to bring these students to a level of competence where they can operate professionally. As such the program is highly squeezed. Faculty-student relations: Core faculty are brought in from around the world. While all teachers are accomplished professional filmmakers, their primary purpose in Prague is to teach students at Prague Film School. The dynamics are then what you find at exclusive boarding schools and small colleges in the U.S., where the teachers are highly devoted to their students and accessible. Faculty also embody the school’s ideology of integrating European art-house with American independent cinemas. Diversity of student body: In a student body of 60 students, 25-30 countries are represented. Nearly every other student is from a different part of the world, but there’s a sub-cultural glue binding them together. Students live and breathe film together. Liberalism: Most students at our school have completed undergraduate studies and see their time at film school as a cherished chance to wed their deep interests with a vocation. As such, the administration treats all students as responsible adults and trusts students to take full responsibility for their studies. The school does not interfere with students’ artistic choices. Prague: Prague is one of those very rare cities that manages to combine cosmopolitanism with intimacy and beauty. It’s magic is apparent to just about anyone fortunate enough to spend some time here. Prague is a major European film center with one of the continent’s largest and oldest film studios. The city is regarded among the world's most beautiful capitals and productions come from all over the globe to capitalize on the the city's beauty and film resources. For a film student, Prague is a dream city, providing a setting for virtually any type of film, a charismatic metropolitan buzz for inspiration and affordability still unique in the developed world.

In a brand-new category based on ratings from students and recent graduates, Brno and Prague achieved 4th and 2nd place respectively. Respondents praised the attractiveness of the city, as well as the large and friendly student community.” Between December 2016 and January 2017, more than 18,000 students and graduates rated their cities in eight QS Best Student Cities categories: arts and culture, affordability, nightlife, employment opportunities, diversity, tolerance and inclusion, ease of getting around, and friendliness. The Faculty of Arts is one of the four founding Masaryk University faculties. From the very beginning, the faculty has focused on developing both traditional humanities-oriented disciplines (i.e. history, philosophy, classical philology and Slavonic, Germanic and Romance philologies) as well as areas comprising new directions in university instruction and research, e.g. sociology, psychology, art history and musicology. At present, the Faculty of Arts continues to promote… [+] traditional fields of study while simultaneously supporting the development of new ones. All departments are involved in research with some simultaneously participating in joint research projects financed by the European Union. Research activities at the Faculty of Arts are therefore extremely varied; significant research areas include the archaeological exploration of prehistoric and medieval social structures, areal linguistics and literary studies, clinical psychology, Latin medieval studies, aspects of general psychology, general and social pedagogy, Czech and Central European history including the auxiliary historical sciences, history of art – comprising architecture, sculpture and painting – as well as musicology, aesthetics, theatre and film studies, ethnology, ethnography and religious studies. The faculty has likewise traditionally focused on a range of linguistic and literary topics as well as on the interpretation of significant philosophical works, including those of the university’s founder T. G. Masaryk. The Faculty of Arts is becoming increasingly recognized as a research-oriented institution, with dozens of grants in various areas being investigated each year.
The Faculty of Social Studies was established in 1998 and it is among the newest and most dynamic parts of Masaryk University. Its social science tradition dates back as far as 1921, when I. A. Bláha, a direct pupil of Émile Durkheim, established the Department of Sociology. Since the 1920s, sociology and psychology have been taught at the Faculty of Arts, and joined by other disciplines, they established a unique social studies school in the late 1990s. The Faculty h… [+] as continued developing dynamically while focused on education in the fields of sociology, political science, psychology, social policy and social work, media studies and journalism, environmental studies, international relations, European studies, gender studies, social anthropology, and recently, also security and strategic studies and energy security studies. Thus, its courses are permanently enriched with the latest gnosis of both basic and applied social science. In spite of the fact that our town belongs to the areas with a dense concentration of industry, commercial and touristic part were strengthened in the last years. Surroundings of Karvina provide a variety of places to enjoy your life, like the Beskydy and the Jeseníky Mountains with large forests, lakes Těrlicko and Žermanice for some summer fun, shopping centres in Ostrava, and the Stodolní street with more than 100 bars.

The Faculty is also pioneering the use of simulation-based teaching methods using multimedia, practical simulation tools, and experimental teaching facilities. Students have the opportunity to spend part of their studies abroad – both in Europe (we have links with over 40 partner institutions as part of the Erasmus+ programme) and beyond. The Faculty works closely alongside the Ostrava University Hospital (which includes a number of highly specialized departments), two other large hospitals in Ostrava, and a range of other medical and health care institutions across the region, both in the public and private sectors. The Faculty has a strong presence in the medical research community. Its specialist teams include the Obesitology Centre (developing treatments for obesity), the Institute of Emergency Medicine (developing responses to potential bioterrorist incidents and military conflicts, developing medical and surgical methods for man-made and natural disasters), the Hematooncology Clinic (conducting genomic research to identify genetic changes which occur in patients with hematooncological disorders and prevent effective treatment), and the Centre for Epidemiological Research (focusing on epidemiology in infectious and non-infectious diseases and the natural and working environment).
