Introduction
The international Master of Business Administration (iMBA) program of Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS) is committed to delivering forward-looking global business leaders for the new era who conceive and put into practice original business ideas. The iMBA program sets "Digital Revolution, Global Operation" as its characteristic educational objective. It works to enhance the ability to lead an enterprise of in-service managers and the cross-cultural management ability of students at home and abroad, and endeavors to train cross-disciplinary management professionals in new finance, new technologies, new industries, and new markets.

International Applicants (Non-Chinese)
Application Eligibility
1. General requirements
1.1 Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with proper moral conduct, in good health with no infectious disease or any physical or mental diseases that may affect the normal study, and have a bachelor’s degree (Applicant who has not got the degree certificate when applying shall provide the pre-graduation certificate first, then provide the academic degree certificates no later than registration) and be under the age of 35 (Age limit is flexible for healthy applicants with certain work experience and high academic ability).
1.2 Minimum bachelor’s degree in any given major.
1.3 Minimum of 2 years of working experience would be preferable.
2. Requirements on nationality
2.1 Applicant who has given up their original Chinese citizenship and becomes foreign citizens shall provide the documents certifying the cancellation of Chinese nationality, according to the policy of the Ministry of Education of the PRC.
2.2 If the applicant has acquired foreign citizenship automatically at the time of birth in a foreign country, whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents was a Chinese citizen, the parent’s (with Chinese citizenship) permanent resident in a foreign country should be obtained prior to the birth of the applicant.
3. Language proficiency requirements:
3.1 Applicants must have an internet-based TOEFL test score of 90 or an IELTS test score of 6.5 (or above) or other proof which can reflect the applicants’ English proficiency (except for English native speakers, or those who obtained their bachelor’s degree in English-taught programs). 3.2 No Chinese language proficiency is required for the program.
TOEFL DI Code of Zhejiang University International Business School is C603. TOEFL MyBest score is accepted.
Documents for Application
Applicants must log in to the Online Application System for International Students of Zhejiang University (Link), fill in clearly, and upload completely the original or notarized scanned copies of the following materials as required.
- A photocopy of my passport.
- Highest degree certificates. Highest degree certificates. If applicants are university students, they shall provide an official pre-graduation certificate. The original or notarized copy of the academic qualification certificate must be submitted after admission (the degree certificate must be obtained no later than registration).
- Academic transcripts during Bachelor’s degree study, which must be original documents or notarized copies.
- Language proficiency certificates. (Download)
- Personal statement, in Chinese or English, should include study and work experience, reasons for application, and study proposal. No less than 1500 words.
- Two letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors. (Professors’ signature, contact phone number, and email address must be put on the letter.)
- Published academic papers or other academic achievements. (If applicable)
- Applicants are encouraged to provide GRE、NTS-GAT test scores.
- The applicant who has given up their original Chinese citizenship and becomes a foreign citizen shall provide the documents certifying the cancellation of Chinese nationality, according to the policy of the Ministry of Education of the PRC.
- If the applicant has acquired foreign citizenship automatically at the time of birth in a foreign country, whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents was a Chinese citizen, please provide
[1] documents certifying acquiring foreign citizenship at the time of birth;
[2] documents certifying parents’ (with Chinese citizenship) permanent residence in a foreign country before the birth of applicants.
Note:
1. After submitting the above materials in the online system, please pay the application fee in the system or upload the remittance voucher for the application fee.
2. The above application materials must be in Chinese or English, and notarized copies of translations must be provided for texts in other languages.
3. Please do NOT post the hard copies of the application materials or send them by e-mail. The paper application materials and the application materials sent by e-mail will not be reviewed and processed.
4. Supplementary materials or video interviews may be required when necessary.
