Introduction
Objectives
The basic objective of the Master of Business Administration degree program is to offer men and women an opportunity to develop leadership and managerial skills for an increasingly complex and dynamic business society by enlarging their knowledge, managerial skill, and perspective. The broad, integrated curriculum provides the student with an opportunity to gain understanding of the major facets of business operations. The program includes work in the theoretical foundations of business, quantitative controls, decision-making through the development of advanced functional skills, and the social and ethical environment of business.
The program is designed for business graduates as well as graduates with degrees in liberal arts, sciences, engineering, or other fields desiring to undertake professional studies in the area of business administration. Students have an opportunity for more industry specific preparation beyond the core requirements.
Industry specific preparation
Students who wish to develop a specific foundation to pursue their desired career objective may in conjunction with, and the approval of the Business Graduate Programs Coordinator, follow a modified program.
The following MBA Health Care program in designed for the part-time student. All classes are offered in the early evening. Full-time students also are admitted to the program.
Computer and statistical literacy must be demonstrated by completing an undergraduate course in each area or some other evidence of competency.
