Admissions
Curriculum
Semester Abroad
You can go on exchange during the summer, autumn or spring semester. You don’t have to have a background in business studies to join the program, as you can take introductory courses if needed. Introductory courses are called Foundation Courses and there are 5 such courses offered (see curriculum page 10). The MBA program has nine different areas of specialization (groups). You can choose courses freely from both core and elective courses. You can choose 3–5 MBA courses per semester. In addition, MBA students can also choose BBA courses as long as the total number of courses per semester is not more than 6. Courses are offered in a cycle according to this course plan. The final course offering will be available at the start of the semester.
Elective courses and some selective core courses will generally be organized only if there are enough participants. There is, therefore, no guarantee that they will take place. When preparing their study plan, students are advised to have a plan B. Students can influence which elective courses are organized. After applying through Asia Exchange, you should contact Siam University about your course selection as soon as convenient (approximately 3 months before the semester starts). There is a set schedule for core courses, but the elective courses are organized based on students’ wishes. When choosing the elective courses, you should take special care to classify your selections into two categories: those courses that you really need to take and those that you would like to take.
Full Degree
The MBA follows a 15-week trimester system. You can start your studies either in the summer, autumn or spring semester. The entire MBA degree can be completed in a minimum of 12 months. Some participants will complete the coursework in 12–15 months and then take another semester to complete a business project (regular track). The majority of the students complete the degree requirements within 18 months. The program’s flexible schedule also allows for simultaneously having a full-time job, if needed. Courses are offered on weeknights/weekdays and weekends for your convenience. The program also includes company visits and field trips. The MBA program has nine different areas of specialization (groups) from which the students can choose to best complement their career objectives.
