Executive MBA program (EMBA)

Program fostering future leaders who are currently working in corporations as junior executives with business administration academics.

Executive MBA is a master program providing business administration education to future leaders.The Executive MBA program (EMBA) is a two-year long program with classes offered on every Saturday. This program is most suited for those who have more than 10 years of industry experience. Korean is the main language for instruction.

This program is based on “regulations regarding industrial education promotion and arithmetic acceleration cooperation.” SNU does not recruit students, but corporations dispatch their employees to SNU. In other words, dispatched employees may apply only. Courses are carried out at SNU Graduate School of Business Gwanak campus. First year offers general courses for all majors. Second year students take courses according to their majors such as technical management, humanities, arts, finance, etc.

Global Residency Program (GRP)

Executive MBA students get an opportunity to visit recognized universities and corporations abroad once a year through the study abroad tour. In 2009, we visited HKUST(Hong Kong University of Science & Technology), Franklin Templeton, LVMH, Estee Lauder, etc. in Hong Kong. In 2010, we visited VN Steel, Hoang Quan Group, POSCO-Vietnam, Shinhan Bank-Vietnam, etc.

Business Project

Business project course focuses on fostering problem-solving abilities on applying and analyzing the conceptual knowledge learned in fundamental and elective courses of business administration to real world problems of business management. Students select companies and issues for case studies and conduct “Field Analysis Project” under the guidance of a professor. This is not a team project but an individual project.

Eligibility for Application

A. Holder of a bachelors degree or equivalent from a Korean or foreign university

B. Employee of an assembly of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry or Kyung-ki government official recommended by a governor

C. Applicants with A and B qualifications above should meet the following two requirements,

1) Applicants should hold the following test scores ⅰ) TEPS 551 or above, or ⅱ) TOEFL CBT 210 or above, or TOEFL IBT 74 or above, or TOEFL PBT 537 or above, or ⅲ) TOEIC 680 or above

(※ no time limitations regarding test scores exist)
※ However, applicants with the following three qualifications are exempt from submitting English test scores

ⅰ) Graduate from an English undergraduate or graduate school
ⅱ) Work experience of 3 years or more in an English speaking country
ⅲ) Work experience of 3 years or more in a national or international institution using English as the official language

※ Applicants without English test scores or who do not meet the minimum requirements may apply with the condition that they will take TEPS special test provided by SNU Language Educational Institute.

※ If applicants who submitted English test scores take TEPS special test, we will take their highest score.

2) Applicant with over 5 years of experience in a Korean or foreign institution.
