Learning activities may occur both within and outside of the classroom.
Distinctive to the MBA, your learning experience will include a mixture of formal lectures, case study discussions, guided and independent research, workshops, debates, and student presentations, alongside simulations and role-plays. We use a variety of methods to develop your cognitive and practical skills alongside assessing your understanding of key concepts and theoretical knowledge. Group work is also used to develop your capacity for working in teams – providing a realistic organisational context for you to develop your interpersonal skills and test your own capacity for teamwork and leadership.

The MDX MBA International Project offers students the opportunity to develop a global perspective of key management issues. The one-week project is designed as an intensive group learning experience aimed at developing and applying skills needed to critically examine a challenging global issue and the interrelationships between the global and local business environments.
The project is centred around an international study trip that immerses students in the destinations local culture and business environment. During these trips, students are guided through formal and informal learning activities, reflection, and the consultancy-style project by an MBA faculty member.
At the core of the experience is a consultancy style case study where students will work in groups on a project based on organisational or sectoral themes. The project will culminate in a final consulting-type presentation presenting key recommendations and findings, often to a local business.
Organized experiences including site visits, networking and interactions with business leaders, and cultural activities provide students with an experiential basis to contextualize and apply the knowledge and skills gained during the MBA programme to specific real-world business problems.
If government restrictions are in place that does not allow for the international trip to operate, the International Project will take place locally in Dubai, with the project focus on issues facing international businesses doing business in the UAE.
