The course focuses on strategic management, with classes in Brazil and an immersion of studies abroad integrated into the program, with options between India, Europe, China, USA and Israel, combining theories, cases and intense exchange of practical experiences.
Our MBA provides a comprehensive view of all areas of the business, updating knowledge and preparing professionals to take on new management positions.
The Profuturo FIA International Executive MBA since its first class, in 1993, has had the mission of training leaders capable of promoting development in Brazil.
Internationally recognized for the excellence of teaching, the course has been following the economic, social and technological transformations that have occurred in Brazil and in the world.

Curriculum
Omniclass - Hybrid classes
For everyone's safety, students can choose to take the course in person (when authorized by health bodies, following safety protocols) or EAD/remote (live streamed class, maintaining the same level of interaction between participants).
The program
The program has 500 class hours, plus 100 hours for preparation of the course completion work, over 18 months. Classes take place fortnightly on Fridays (from 2 pm to 8 pm) and Saturdays (from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm).
The Executive MBA student must take 8 required subjects, 2 required EAD-Harvard subjects, 3 optional subjects, 1 international immersion* and complete the Course Completion Work (TCC), these subjects being included in the course fee.
Classes integrate concepts, theories and practical cases from the Brazilian reality, simulations and exchange of experiences, group work, as well as the use of international cases. We have an agreement with Harvard University for the elaboration and use of cases and intense interaction with schools in the USA, Europe and Asia. We use the same cases, concepts and books used in the best universities in the world, but the practical applications are adapted to the Brazilian reality.
Disciplines and themes
Since 1993, we have developed a strategy for the disciplines of the International Executive MBA, which analyzes directions: of organizations, the country's challenges and globalization.
After the great directions, we approach the functional areas that encompass all the essential concepts of an MBA together with proposals for international competitiveness through international immersions and 3 mandatory elective subjects to be taken. At the end of the course, graduates will have an agenda for the future and an elaborate business plan, built through the acquired knowledge: market, human relations, finance, organizations, etc.
Career Management is the central element of the program. Profuturo FIA promotes a self-assessment when the student enrolls in the course and throughout it creates a professional and personal self-development plan for the executive.
the ultimate investment
The International Executive MBA presents an average ROI (return on investment) of 36% per year, according to the US EMBA Council: average payback in up to 24 months and return to the sponsoring company in up to 12 months!
Our cost benefit is clearly better; in Financial Times evaluations, the FIA payback is twice as fast as the average for the best US schools.
international immersions
An International immersion* is included in the program, with a schedule of classes, technical visits to laboratories in the regions and other dynamic activities. In this discipline, the participant chooses an international immersion among the offered destinations: USA, China, India, Europe (Milan/Porto/Cambridge) and Israel.
In immersion, in addition to the academic part offered by FIA international partners (Vanderbilt University – USA, Lingnan College – China, MDI Gurgaon – India and in Europe: Cambridge – UK, SDA Bocconi – Milan, PBS – Porto and Israel – Technion – Israel Institute of Technology), the participant will make technical visits, accompanied by the course coordinators, in companies whose objective is to get to know the business environment, market and practices of international executives.
The content of the trips is prepared in partnership by the course coordination and international institutions, focusing on PROFUTURO FIA Executive MBA students. The participant is responsible for providing their air tickets, visa, accommodation, a daily meal and international health insurance.
*the student has the option of substituting an international immersion course for an International Competitiveness course in Brazil.
Additional benefits
We believe that an International Executive MBA Program must go far beyond the classes and activities during the course period. That's why we offer our Alumni a series of events and other activities to update knowledge, network and permanently connect with the Institution.
Career Meetings
Career-related topics are addressed throughout the International Executive MBA program, from the student's first contact with the course coordination. In addition to the mandatory course on People Management, students can take electives on the topic and take an additional online course from Harvard (Manage Mentor).
Additionally, throughout the year, four Career Meetings are offered for Executive MBA students and alumni. These are interactive events held in partnership with Cia de Talentos, on topics such as the future of work, career portfolio, storytelling, leadership, diversity, generational gap, people analytics, among others.
Alumni Profuturo FIA
Alumni are invited to participate in lectures, workshops, workshops, case competitions and other content and networking events, which aim to bring together FIA International Executive MBA students and alumni to update on relevant topics and exchange of experiences. Every year we select topics of interest for discussion and create great opportunities for colleagues to meet again at the FIA and make new contacts. Former students have special conditions in short courses and international immersions offered by Profuturo FIA.
Profuturo Startup Lab
Through Profuturo StartupLab, Executive MBA alumni have the opportunity to participate in a new business acceleration program, based on their Course Completion Work. This benefit is offered to former students who have their projects approved, with access to the acceleration process, networking with mentors and members of the Profuturo FIA innovation ecosystem, and potential investors in the Shark Tank format.
