Introduction
The Americas MBA is a joint program between four distinguished business schools – FIA, ITAM, Simon Fraser University, and Vanderbilt University. They offer a unique MBA in international management with an emphasis on the four major economies of the Americas, integrating students from Brazil, Mexico, Canada, and the USA. Four dynamic economies of the Americas – One unique MBA program.
The program focuses on improving strategic leadership for professionals in international companies, by providing a challenging academic environment to discuss and practice in-depth management concepts on real-life cases within the economic, cultural, and managerial models of the Americas and the international arena as well. With all classes in English, the program is developed in the first year with Friday and Saturday classes every two weeks in Brazil.
In the second year, the program goes through the core concepts with four additional intensive modules in Canada, Brazil, Mexico, and the USA. These modules consist of joint immersions with students from the above-mentioned universities, which are leading universities in their countries, held every two months. The integration of the students includes academic, professional, cultural, and personal interactions that support a dynamic and broad perspective to become a true leader in the international arena.

Curriculum
Omniclass - Hybrid classes
For the safety of all, students can choose to take the course in person (when authorized by health agencies, following safety protocols) or remotely (class transmitted live, maintaining the same level of interaction between participants).
Multicultural experience
Students benefit not only from the cross-cultural front of the program but also from the knowledge of the business environment of the four countries, the multi-sectorial professional, and diverse academic backgrounds. A unique experience of an in-depth journey through learning in an international and cross-cultural environment is at the core of the program. With this innovative model, the program provides the basis for an international career from a solid conceptual foundation, bolstered by a strong international experience with international executives of the four countries. The experiences students go through in the program, such as an international consultancy project and case studies analyses and evaluation are of great value to contribute to a meaningful leadership development process. The program also offers a diverse network in the cohorts, that will truly support building international careers and leadership competencies.
Study and network
The program focuses on a truly practical approach and supports the immediate applicability of the conceptual frameworks in the participant’s professional careers. Lectures and case analyses require intense participation, while teamwork competencies are practiced to the utmost level in the consultancy project. Simulations, active, and distance learning methods are applied, in addition to individual counseling; real-life case studies analyses are applied through the content agreement FIA has with Harvard Business Publishing. In the final phase of this program, a consultancy project on a real strategic challenge is developed with a multicultural team consisting of Canadians, Mexicans, Americans, and Brazilians. The project has a real customer, and also the partner schools provide an experienced coach to be the advisor of the teams in the project development.
