Introduction
The Global MBA reflects the pedagogic philosophy of Bayes Business School (formerly Cass): an advanced, technically challenging, and integrated education to prepare business professionals and leaders to operate at decision-making levels.
On this part-time programme, you can look forward to experiencing the best of both online and face-to-face learning during your studies.
- The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme and the Integration Week are delivered face-to-face at our on-campus weeks
- Global MBA core modules are taught online. Choose up to six online elective modules to personalise your learning pathway.
The Bayes approach to learning
During your time on the programme, you will learn the theoretical foundations of various decision-making tools and how to apply them in practical, industry-based contexts.
This overarching ethos, as well as the breadth and structure of the programme, will be supported by a compatible range of learning strategies. For example, you will:
- Engage with foundational theory using a variety of online resources; this element of your studies will involve both self-study and direct interaction with our academics during weekly webinars
- Develop your skills in the practical application of theory through extensive use of case discussion, formal lectures in webinars, group work, workshops, formative exercises, and projects
- Undertake an integrating exercise, which will bring together your theoretical learning and practical application gained during the core modules in a real-world environment
You will also undertake individual study and group work in virtual teams for the preparation of case studies, research tasks, and other assignments, assessed or not.
This will consolidate your acquired knowledge and build the interpersonal and communication skills that are essential for your further career development.

Curriculum
Year one
The main focus of Year One is the completion of six online core modules. You will study one module at a time, enabling you to really immerse yourself in the subject matter and not have to worry about competing deadlines on other areas of the programme.
The first three core modules are:
- Marketing
- Operations and Supply Chain Management
- Technology and Innovation
Upon completion of these modules, we will look forward to welcoming you to our London campus for Professional Development Week.
During this time, you will get to develop and hone your key leadership communication skills and consider what it means for you to achieve your career potential.
You will then study the following three modules:
- Leading People in Organisations
- Finance
- Strategy
On completion of these core modules, you will join with your cohort to take part in Integration Week in London.
This interactive and applied module draws on the various perspectives and knowledge that you have developed throughout Year One. You will have the opportunity to work on real-life business challenges, gain industry insights and develop consulting and negotiating skills. It is also an opportunity to celebrate achievements and network with faculty and peers.
Year Two
Year Two of the Global MBA can be shaped and personalised according to your specific goals. There are three main elements to this stage of the programme.
Elective modules
Most students take six elective modules during Year Two and there is a large number of modules to choose from. Some subjects link back to the core modules you studied in Year One and dive deeper into specialist areas within them. Other areas are emerging areas of business that impact on decisions that leaders need to make now and in the future.
Corporate Social Responsibility core module
Learning about corporate social responsibility (CSR) is of paramount importance in today’s interconnected and conscious business landscape. The Global MBA embeds the significance of the topics included in CSR throughout the programme but this dedicated module is an important opportunity to reflect on and draw these aspects together.
Business Mastery project
You choose the topic for this significant piece of work, meaning you can ensure it has practical relevance and can be implemented to support your goals. You are supported throughout the process by a specialist supervisor, the course director and the wider Global MBA team.
Online electives
The second year of your Global MBA programme is when you can start to specialise and deepen the core knowledge that you have built during Year One. Through your elective choices, you can tailor your choices to personalise what and how you’re learning, based on your own development and career goals.
Some students opt to take a wide range of subject areas, to broaden their knowledge in relevant areas. Others choose to specialise via a concentration, which are private recognitions achieved by taking at least 40 credits from specific elective modules in a subject group. This recognition is independent of the MBA award, which remains exactly the same. Find out more about Concentrations.
You can choose six elective modules from the list below, which reflects the online-only elective portfolio.
Our online elective portfolio is continuously reviewed and updated, to ensure we are offering a broad range of subjects across areas that are most relevant for business leaders now and in the future.
