The Virginia Tech Master of Business Administration program in the National Capital Region combines the resources of the university's Blacksburg campus with accessibility to the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. It offers the quality and challenge that you would expect of a well-established program that is fully accredited by the AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. And it is specially designed for the needs of the full-time professional who is earning the MBA on a flexible schedule, part-time or expedited.
The typical student enrolled in the program is 29 years old with 9 years of work experience. The average undergraduate GPA and GMAT scores, respectively are 3.3 and 620. Ninety-five percent of the students have professional work experience and 35% of the students enrolled are international students. The male-to-female ratio is 60% to 40%.
The Pamplin MBA program in National Capital Region invites applications from Prospective students interested in pursuing the degree in full time, part time or undecided (Commonwealth campus) status. With more than 55 courses offered annually, students are able to finish the program full time in two years or extend their course plan to a maximum of five years on a part-time basis. A typical part-time student will graduate in about three and half years. In addition, students may choose the Commonwealth Campus alternative prior to being fully admitted into the Program. In this case, students will be enrolled in only one MBA foundation course. This permits the applicant to complete his/her application packet and be considered for the regular admissions status in a future semester. Students may enroll during the Fall, Spring or Summer semesters.
