Business Schools Fighting Application Plagiarism

If you thought plagiarism was just a problem in b-school classrooms, think again: according to a recent Fortune article, the problem begins as early as the application stage. The latest plagiarism-detection software, however, is becoming a valuable tool as schools seek to identify plagiarized application essays. And while results so far don’t indicate that effort is actually deterring plagiarists from applying, it has been linked with an unintended and beneficial outcome: less plagiarism in actual b-school classrooms.
