The Boise State MBA provides the depth of knowledge required for success in our dynamic business world. A strong general MBA curriculum, taught by professors with both Ph.D. degrees and industry experience, gives students the basics. In addition, Boise State MBA students take electives in order to gain expertise in accounting and finance, high-tech marketing, information technology, entrepreneurship, international business. Students may also focus on the business curriculum with their electives in such areas as Engineering, Health Science, Instructional & Performance, Technology, or Public Administration. Boise State University MBA candidates possess a high degree of motivation, professional work experience, strong managerial potential, and an aptitude for graduate study. Our MBA students come from a broad range of diverse backgrounds, including engineering, social sciences, liberal arts, business, health, and others.

A typical MBA candidate will:

  • Possess a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or better
  • Preferably have at least two years of significant work experience (waived with a GMAT score of 600)
  • Achieve a minimum score of 500 on the GMAT
  • Have a GMAT quantitative score of at least 32, or >60 on the math placement exam

The College of Business and Economics at Boise State University is the primary emphasis business school in Idaho. With over 100 faculties and staff, over 3,000 students, and delivery sites throughout Southern Idaho, the College has undergraduate degree programs in accountancy, economics, finance, information technology management, international business, management, marketing and supply change management. On the graduate level, the College offers Master of Science degrees in accountancy, and accountancy with a taxation emphasis, as well as an Executive MBA (EMBA), Masters in Business Administration (MBA), MBA-ITM (Information Technology Management), and a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management. We also serve as an educational resource through the Idaho Small Business Development Center, Tech Help, and the Idaho Council on Economic Education. The College of Business and Economics provides high-quality accessible AACSB-International-accredited education.
