United Business Institutes (UBI) was established on April 4th, 1992, as a not-for-profit establishment of higher education. UBI was co-founded by Mr Lucien van Dievoet and Mr Francois d’Anethan who together decided to work on starting an English-language Business School that would combine a genuinely international dimension with a high-quality business curriculum. The quality assurance mechanisms of British universities have always been seen as the standard for higher education, and therefore the decision for a British validation was made, and British Universities have validated the UBI programmes since 1998.

Since taking its first students in October 1992, UBI has achieved a reputation for the high quality of its teaching programmes. Situated in Brussels and Luxembourg, UBI offers the opportunity to study in English in a non-English speaking country and allows students to benefit from an international, intercultural and dynamic environment.

This successful recipe was extended to opening new campuses. UBI – Luxembourg was opened in 2013 to operate a campus in Wiltz, Luxembourg. UBI – China was opened in 2018 in Shanghai (China).

UBI’s classrooms have been meticulously crafted to provide the broadest international experience to the students. Having students and alumni from over 50 countries in the world, we consider diversity in our classrooms as our competitive advantage. While the program is designed to challenge you intellectually and personally and requires self-discipline and dedication, it is at the same time rewarding and enables you to acquire the skills, knowledge and attitudes that will allow you to navigate easily in a multicultural environment.

The MBA will be a life-changing experience for you in a positive sense. We, the UBI team, are committed to providing you with the tools, resources and support that you may need in your road to academic and professional success. Our aim is to provide you with the best possible education in business. We can only do that with your effort and ambition. UBI’s international and professionally-driven programmes, which are taught in English, are validated by Middlesex University London and meet the most stringent British requirements as laid out by the QAA (Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education - UK).

As a student of UBI, you are now part of the quality-assured UBI international program, created and delivered by professionals and academics. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to further broaden your horizons.

The specific objectives for the MBA are that students will improve their ability to:

  • Enhance and develop previous relevant experience in business and management.

  • Prepare students for leadership and transformational roles in business.
  • Develop strategic thinking, innovation and entrepreneurial skills.
