AACSB Accredited

Strong Value Proposition

Despite the high quality of the MBA program, we are more affordable than you may think. The UA Little Rock MBA is the only AACSB-accredited MBA program in the city. Yet, it’s also the least expensive.

Evening students pay regular graduate tuition and fees. The weekend program is $25,000 all-inclusive. Books, course materials, Wall Street Journal, graduation regalia, and even meals are included.

Work-Life Balance

Whether you choose the evening or the weekend program, our classes are scheduled with the working professional in mind. Evening students set their own pace and tailor their course load each semester to balance work, family, and education.

Weekend students attend classes on campus just one Saturday a month with the remaining content delivered online. Work-life balance is built in.

Customizable

In the evening program, you can choose the traditional, general MBA or an MBA with a concentration in Business Analytics, Financial Accounting Analysis, Human Resources or Organizational Communication. Graduate certificates (GC) can be pursued concurrently with the MBA to further customize your graduate business education. Six-to-twelve credit hours from a graduate business certificate program may be used toward the MBA. (Number of hours applicable to the MBA program depends on the GC and courses chosen.)

Curriculum

The MBA program consists of 32-36 credit hours. Students choosing a concentration in either Human Resources or Organizational Communication are required to take one additional course for a total of 35-39 credit hours.

The program includes three one-credit hour foundational courses (accounting, economics, and finance) which may be waived through the passage of online assessments. These assessments are not required and students may choose to attempt any or all of them. There is a charge associated with each assessment ranging from $45 to $60.

All incoming students must demonstrate competency in the use of Excel spreadsheets through the passage of an online assessment. Passage of the Excel assessment is REQUIRED. The charge for the Excel assessment is $48.

Students with more than three years of professional experience are not required to take a one-hour course on career management; however, any MBA student may elect to take this course.

Leadership Skills Development

Embedded in the curriculum is a program designed to help students improve their leadership skills. Behavioral competencies are assessed at the beginning of the program with feedback and suggestions for improvement provided. Each skill is assessed at least three times in the program with feedback provided to help students assess their progress. The program concludes with a capstone leadership experience at the end.

Admission Requirements

Students seeking automatic admission to the MBA program must meet one of the following criteria:

  • (200 x overall GPA) + GMAT score {or GRE equivalent} ≥ 1020 OR
  • (200 x GPA in last 60 hours) + GMAT score {or GRE equivalent} ≥ 1080

Minimum accepted:

  • GMAT score – 420
  • GRE score – approximately 300

(GMAT or GRE scores valid for five years. GRE score converted to GMAT equivalent.)
