General

Program Description

The Master in Administrative Management of the University of Lleida is an official master's degree professionalizing . Its objective is to offer comprehensive training, both theoretical and above all practical, to its graduates in order to give them a concrete and specialized professional career: the administrative manager profession.

The Master thus responds to the growing social need to have qualified professionals who can efficiently manage and offer due advice, both to individuals and companies, in the framework of their relations with public administrations; for example, in the opening of a business or industry, in the application for a subsidy, in the management of a traffic sanction, or in any other matter that has to be processed in the administrative framework.

In addition, under the agreement of the UdL with the General Council of Colleges of Administrative Managers of Spain, obtaining the title of Master's Degree in Administrative Management of the UdL exempts from performing an official exam, so that it is enabled to the exercise of the profession of administrative manager.

Why take the Master in Administrative Management?

The interest of the Master in Administrative Management lies in its professional character . That is to say, the people graduated in the Master in Administrative Management of the UdL will be able to exercise the specific profession of administrative manager, and will be exempted from the official tests that are summoned annually for this by the Official College of Administrative Managers of Catalonia.

In this way, the IMGA intends to respond to the growing social need to have qualified professionals for the correct management and implementation of the complex administrative procedures that companies and citizens must now carry out before the Public Administrations. The growing increase in applicable regulations, bureaucratic procedures and instances that must be overcome in order to carry out activities that affect the daily life of natural and legal persons requires having specialized professionals in them.

The implementation of this new degree thus gives a concrete and specialized professional exit to graduates in the areas of social, economic and legal sciences.

Currently, there are around 900 administrative managers registered in Catalonia; but in recent years there has been an increase in the number of practicing and non-practicing casualties due to retirement and ignorance of the profession, which must be compensated by new incorporations. In this sense, one of the objectives of the UdL School of Law and Economics is to encourage and strengthen the profession of administrative manager as a new professional horizon , different from the best known and conventional professional opportunities.
