About Madagascar

As a small South African island, Madagascar has gained popularity over the years, with mention of it in various movies. However, not many people know about its service and agricultural industries that help to enhance the economy. With the production of such products as coffee, sugar, vanilla, rice, cocoa, bananas, beans and peanuts, and strong standing in industries such as mining and meat processing, Madagascar has consistently seen its GDP growing over the years. All things considered, it serves as a great region to study business.

Study Business in Madagascar

There are a number of different colleges and universities in Madagascar. Higher education is conducted through the university system of Madagascar, which operates many branches. There are both public and private institutions, as well as coed and non-coed options.

As the school strives to provide its students with an education to help them to thrive in any environment, they follow some of the standard school models, with the academic school year being one of them. The fall semester is generally from August or September to December, with the spring semester starting in January and ending in May.

There are different factors that weigh in on the cost of schooling. Private and public institutions have separate costs, and each college has its own specific offerings which can also affect the price. For example, studying online does not cost the same as studying on campus. There are also additional costs, such as room and board, school supplies, books and more that must also be considered. When added all together, the price is different between institutions, as well as between students.

With the way in which the schooling system is set up, the time it takes for a particular individual to complete a program can vary. On average, the equivalent to the bachelor’s degree takes between three to four years, the master’s takes an additional two years and the doctoral degree is an additional two to three years beyond the master’s. However, students begin to gain credits toward secondary school, so such students may be able to accelerate their process.

Madagascar is a growing community with strong agricultural and industrial ties. This is evident in the fact that its economy continues to advance amongst its surrounding regions. These factors, coupled with the intense instruction offered through its universities, make Madagascar a strong choice for business studies. Upon completing their studies students are prepared to not only apply business concepts in their local area, but also effectively implement them on an international level. Such an experience is not very easy to come by.
