Business studies refer to a discipline area that consists of classes such as finance, marketing, leadership, and money management. Classes may be taken as part of a particular degree or to prepare students for a business career.

Uganda hosts the oldest university in the East and Central Africa, which is Makerere University. This university has been the center of academic excellence for several decades for not only Ugandans students but also other students in the region. Uganda has over 30 public universities.

A master of business administration (MBA) is a professional degree given to those who study business management at a business school. Various forms of analysis and strategy are covered including operations, marketing, finance, and accounting.

Part time learning allows one to obtain part-time degrees even if one cannot attend school on a full-time basis. One can learn at his or own pace, gradually accumulating credits which count towards final qualification.
