Northwestern Wisconsin's only accredited MBA
Our MBA program is offered in the evening to meet the needs of working adults. You can also combine on-campus courses with online ones offered through the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium.
The UW-Eau Claire MBA program gives you a broad, practical understanding of business and the dynamic, global environment in which it operates. You will develop the skills and entrepreneurial spirit needed to manage change and recognize the opportunities it creates. And you will learn guidelines for confronting situations in an ethical and socially responsible manner.
As a student in our 30 credit MBA program, you will enroll in:
- 16 credits of MBA modules
- 2 credits required minimodules: Leadership and Diversity
- 12 credits of electives.
You can complete your MBA by taking all your courses on campus at UW-Eau Claire. On-campus courses are offered in the evening to accommodate your work schedule. Or, you can combine on-campus MBA courses with online ones offered by UW-Eau Claire and its University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium partners-UW-La Crosse, UW-Oshkosh, and UW-Parkside.
On campus and online classes are comfortably small and students in our MBA program get to know one another and the faculty. Class discussions are very rich with faculty members serving more as discussion facilitators than the stand-up-and-lecture professors you remember from your undergraduate days.
The UW-Eau Claire MBA program was designed to meet the needs of graduates in the workforce as well as students seeking direct admission from their undergraduate degree programs. We also welcome applications from international students and individuals interested in the 150-hour BBA/MBA program.
Your undergraduate degree need not be in a business area. However, individuals without baccalaureate business degrees must satisfy MBA program course prerequisites. Contact the MBA director if you wish to discuss strategies for satisfying MBA program course prerequisites.
To be admitted to the MBA program in full standing, students must meet the following requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Cumulative undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Satisfactory completion of MBA program course prerequisites
- Acceptable Graduate Management Admission Test® (GMAT®) or Graduate Record Examinations® General Test (GRE® General Test) score.
