Renewables Academy AG (RENAC)

The Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin and the Renewables Academy (RENAC) jointly offer the first distance learning programme with the chance of obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree focusing on renewable energy and energy efficiency – the MBA Renewables.

The programme combines economic, technical, legal, political and organisational knowledge tailored to the renewable energy and energy efficiency industries. Thanks to the holistic approach, students gain an overview of and understand:

  • various RE technologies and their applications and advantages
  • international energy policies
  • support mechanisms for green energy technologies
  • how to use these technologies profitably in industry

MBA Renewables is designed for 2.5 years of part-time study, including the Master's thesis. Upon finalisation, students will develop the necessary advanced interdisciplinary skills to hold executive positions in the highly globalised market of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies.

Admission requirements

University degree

Students with a First university degree (210 ECTS credits) are entitled to enrol for the MBA Renewables.

Language skills

Another prerequisite to study the Master's programme is a very good command of English.

Professional experience

After completing your first university studies, as a rule, at least 1-2 years of practical professional experience in any field are required.

Fees and payment

€14,000 (examination fees per semester are included), payable in 5 instalments of €2,800 each at the beginning of each semester plus travel costs for on-campus time and oral exam in Berlin.
