Curriculum
In addition to the traditional, part-time MBA program, there are 2 dual degree programs that the LMU MBA Program participates in. For accomplished business professionals, we offer a separate Executive MBA program.
JD/MBA Program
The JD/MBA Program is designed for the student who wants to pursue studies in both law and business administration. Graduates of this program will receive their Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School and their Master of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University in 4 years.
This distinguished program requires a full-time commitment and superior capability to handle the academic rigors of 2 equally intensive graduate programs. Applicants must apply and be accepted into both programs separately; applications for the JD/MBA Program open to current Loyola Law School students immediately after completing their first year. JD/MBA applicants do not have to submit GMAT/GRE scores.
Engineering/MBA Dual Graduate Degree
This dual degree program is for students who want to gain or sharpen their business knowledge and skills while pursuing a career in engineering. Students have access to the strengths and curriculum of both programs, preparing engineering professionals for leadership positions in high technology companies. Graduates of this program will receive their Master of Business Administration and engineering M.S. or M.S.E.
Engineering master's degrees that qualify for this program are:
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Science
- Electrical Engineering
- Environmental Science
- Healthcare Systems Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Systems Engineering
Applicants for the Engineering/MBA Dual Degree program will submit the standard application for their chosen engineering program of study. After receiving acceptance and completing the first year of their engineering degree, students are granted admission to the dual degree program and may begin enrolling in MBA courses provided they are in good academic standing (minimum GPA 3.0) and receive approval from their respective program director.
If you are a current LMU engineering graduate student in one of the programs listed above, please contact Katie Lorick, associate director of academic affairs for Graduate Business Programs, to discuss enrolling in the dual degree program.
Executive MBA
The LMU Executive MBA program is designed for mid-career executives with a significant amount of professional, managerial or entrepreneurial experience. The EMBA curriculum addresses management and leadership within a broad spectrum of organizations and teaches students how to understand core business principles, develop leadership intelligence, apply knowledge and learn to execute. Graduates of this program will receive their Master of Business Administration in 22 months.
