Offered in either a full-time weekday or convenient hybrid Saturday class schedule, the accelerated 16-month program will prepare you to succeed in today’s global marketplace.


Prepare to Lead

As a graduate of Florida Southern College's Barney Barnett School of Business & Free Enterprise, you will have the knowledge and confidence to solve complex problems, develop forward-thinking strategies, and be respected in your field. This innovative program integrates functional skills in accounting, finance, marketing, statistics, communication, ethics, and quantitative and qualitative analysis of the managerial and motivational skills required of today’s executive leadership.


International Focus

A strong focus on international issues prepares students for success in the global marketplace. In fact, the study of global issues is embedded in each of the program’s core courses. You’ll even have the option of an international field experience. Designed to provide a solid background in the nature, foundations, and complexities of international business, the program will prepare you to conduct business internationally, whether managing an organization’s operations, resource planning, marketing, or business development and expansion initiatives.

The oldest private college in Florida, Florida Southern College was founded in Orlando in 1883 as South Florida Institute.Soon afterward, it moved to Leesburg. In 1885, a college curriculum was added and the college was opened to male and female students. In 1901, the college moved to Sutherland, now Palm Harbor, and in 1906, it was renamed Southern College. The college temporarily moved to Clearwater from 1921 to 1922, and in 1922, it moved again to the shores of Lake Hollingsworth in Lakeland. In 1935, the Trustees adopted the name Florida Southern College. Read less
