While the country takes a hands-off approach to its economy, it stays quite involved in the education of its people.
Business studies in Lebanon begin with first stage studies, which lead to a bachelor's degree after three to five years of study, followed by second stage studies, which lead to the master's degree or an equivalent degree after one to two more years of study, depending on the university. Most business students pursue at least the second stage of study.
Because of this emphasis on education, Lebanon boasts 41 universities with national accreditation. Students who study in Lebanon will begin their university school year in October. The spring semester begins in February, and students may choose to study in a summer session as well. While the cost of tuition will vary depending on the school, some universities require students to pay for only the first 15 credits per semester, and they can take additional credits without any costs.
