The MBA in Food and Wine is focused on the exclusive knowledge of the most successful Italian enterprises in the gastronomy and enology sector. This program will help students to develop their managerial skills, focusing on the expanding food & beverage sector. Participants will have the chance to learn what has made the Italian agribusiness the excellence that the world envies us, directly from the experience of entrepreneurs, managers, top-star chefs, opinion leaders working in food and beverage.

Italian food is famous all around the world because of their high-standards and traditions. The increasing interest of the international market towards high-quality product lead to an expansion of this sector.

Bologna declared “the City of Food”, enjoys a great experience and exposure in the field of culinary arts and, at the same time, its region Emilia Romagna, boasts high-quality productions in the agribusiness sector, known worldwide.

During the last few years, precisely in Bologna and in the Emilia Romagna region, many projects have been developed, aimed at spreading Italian tradition.

Structure

The Master’s degree is a 12-month full-time program taught in English, including 518 hours of class activities, 1300 hours of individual and group work and a 500-hour internship.

The academic portion is divided into three terms. During the first term, students will study the fundamentals of general management, while the second and third term will concentrate on the courses specific to Supercars, Superbikes, and Motorsports.

The program is complete when students complete a 500-hour internship. The internship will help students to improve their problem-solving skills, apply their newly developed knowledge as well as give them the opportunity to face actual situations that arise within the business world.

Our programs provide an exciting and fulfilling learning experience by offering optimal class sizes, by integrating real-life case studies, as well as by providing students with the opportunity become a part of the BBS community.

Career Development

Creating employability is one of the primary goals of our MBA program which is achieved through systematic career development approach as well as an ongoing effort to effectively align the professional projects of our students with the needs expressed by businesses.

The internship acts as a perfect professional springboard, especially considering the fact that just six months after graduation, Bologna Business School has historically achieved a 90% placement in general average.

The Career Development Department will help participants pursue their career goals and will support them throughout the job seeking process. This specialized department is dedicated to career exploration and fulfillment. A qualified career counselor will assist students with a variety of services and resources including job searching strategies, interview skills, resume development, career/personality assessments and much more.

Financial aid

Bologna Business School offers both full and partial scholarships for participants of the MBA. All applicants are eligible to apply regardless of their nationality. Scholarships are merit-based (both academic as well as professional merit) and cover tuition costs only.

The Global MBA offers scholarships of:

  • 35,000 euro (full scholarship)
  • 20,000 euro (partial scholarship)
  • 15,000 euro (partial scholarship)
  • 10,000 euro (partial scholarship)

Thanks to the agreement between Bologna Business School and Intesa Sanpaolo, participants are eligible to apply for “PerTe Prestito Con Lode”, a long-term and low-interest honor loan.
