Lab to Market
Required of all Rady School MBA students, the entrepreneurial capstone Lab to Market course sequence puts your core curriculum and elective knowledge to work. In this unique, action-learning based course sequence, you explore a project of significance to you by learning to assess which innovations are worth pursuing while bringing those concepts successfully to the marketplace.
Lab to Market takes you out of the more structured academic framework of the core curriculum puts you in a real-world environment, evaluating and pursuing potential business opportunities in collaboration with a team of classmates.
California Institute for Innovation and Development (CIID)
CIID houses multiple business accelerators, including StartR and mystartupXX. All of these programs, combined with the many other unique learning opportunities of the Rady School, provide students with the opportunity to explore the many sides of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Rady provides merit-based fellowship support to exceptional individuals. All domestic and international admitted students are invited to apply for a Rady fellowship by downloading the fellowship application from the MBA application system.
Through the generosity of our supporters and donors, the Rady School also awards privately funded fellowships. These fellowships have specific criteria that are assessed through the application process, including fellowships to support students:
- with backgrounds in the life sciences
- who have demonstrated significant achievement in the face of economic or personal barriers
- who will be contributors and leaders in San Diego’s innovation-driven economy
Optional essays in the application enable applicants to provide additional information that may be helpful to the fellowship committee.
Though many of our military students receive assistance through military benefit programs, the Rady School does reserve a limited amount of funds to assist our military candidates.
