EMBAs 2017 in Geneva Switzerland. Executive MBA The Executive MBA program (EMBA) at University of Geneva (UNIGE) provides executives with a first-class general management education without interrupting their careers. It is designed to balance theory and practice, and analytical thinking and action, and is structured to ensure that participants gain leadership training through active participation, and a corporate executive perspective. It teaches participants to build foundational skills and confidence to expand their capacity to lead and face cross-functional challenges. UNIGE EMBA carefully selects the participant mix through a rigorous 4-step selection process to ensure a high quality peer-to-peer exchange. Its teaching staff is keenly aware of the need for managers and business leaders to develop and implement efficient operational solutions to complex situations. UNIGE EMBA is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA). Students are led to develop their autonomy, intellectual capacity and practical skills, and acquire the necessary tools to achieve their professional goals. They also learn to use their analytical and strategic skills to develop new solutions to complex problems rather than simply adopting ready-made solutions. Faculty: The diverse origins and backgrounds of the faculty members and students guarantee an international perspective and cross-discipline input. Interaction between participants and faculty and group is highly encouraged; group work stimulates knowledge sharing. The students’ learning experience is enhanced by corporate work projects, in-class discussions, and presentations that build on their previous experience. The EMBA program encourages lively interaction between students and professors and stimulates the sharing of knowledge through group work. New Block Format: In order to satisfy the demands of the international population, UNIGE EMBA now also offers block format courses in addition to the traditional bi-weekly program starting September 2016. This new format includes the same course offer as the bi-weekly program, but in a concentrated schedule. This block format is ideal for international participants from far horizons (i.e., Middle East, Eastern Europe, Asia, etc.). PROGRAM STRUCTURE The full EMBA program cycle (both the bi-weekly and block formats) includes 24 modules and an In-company MBA project, and lasts 2 years. 12 Core courses including Self-Leadership make up the the 1st year curriculum. Upon successful completion of the first year modules, students obtain a "statement of completion" and may continue their studies by joining the International Management program (traditional MBA curriculum), or one of the proposed Specializations offered in French or English. Block format Specializations are also available in the 2nd year: the Trading & Aviation Management programs. Upon successful completion of both years, including the In-company MBA project, graduating students receive the Master of Business Administration Degree. 100% participation is expected to validate the modules; each course comprises 24 class hours. For each class hour, students should count an additional 1 to 2 hours for reading, preparation, case study and evaluation. 1) Bi-weekly format (traditional): twice a month, on Friday afternoons (2pm-9pm), and Saturday mornings (8am-1pm); some courses are organized over 3 consecutive full days; to be completed over 2 years 2) Block format (concentrated model): 6 blocks of 3 modules (8.30am-5.30pm) with 6 online courses; to be completed over 2 years. Ideal for international participants. MBA THESIS (IN-COMPANY PROJECT) Students receive personalized evaluations and feedback throughout their program, including feedback and coaching from former students. Each program module is subject to an assessment. EMBA assessments include final exams, presentations, and/or project reports, and may be conducted individually or in groups. As part of the assessment requirement, students carry out a group project (3-4 students per group) in their area of specialization, which could be implemented in their businesses. These projects are conducted in close collaboration with the sponsoring company, which is usually the student’s workplace. Students act as consultants and their findings and recommendations should be applied by the sponsoring organization. GENERAL PROGRAM DESCRIPTION Upon completion of the first year, participants receive a Certificate of Completion and continue their course study in "International Management" or in one of the proposed Specializations Note: Executive MBA studies last 2 years. Requests for an extension are subject to approval by the MBA office; a CHF 2000 Extension Fee will apply for each extra year; (max. 5-year cycle) [-]

Overview The EIPM Global Executive MBA specialises in Purchasing and Supply Management and is a part-time programme designed to be completed within a period of 22 to 36 months. It allows executives to gain both international understanding and valuable specialist knowledge whist maintaining their professional commitments. Why an Executive MBA specialised in Purchasing? The purchasing function is at the strategic heart of most firms; up to 70% of company spend is made through purchasing. Purchasing requires a cross functional perspective to synthesize knowledge from different parts of the company. The EIPM Global Executive MBA enables our students to understand this inter-dependence and act as leaders within their organisations. Why Choose the EIPM Global Executive MBA? The EIPM Executive MBA provides an accredited, high standard of management level education. What sets EIPM apart is its dedication to the individual. EIPM realises the subtle differences that exist in people’s educational needs and is able to accommodate and incorporate these into classes with a maximum of 25 students. Benefits for the Employer Sponsoring an EIPM student demonstrates purchasing as a strategic function. Companies benefit directly and immediately from the in-company project students undertake. The consultancy value of an Executive MBA project alone may already justify the investment in an MBA candidate. The investment in the employee, rather than in a consultant remains within the company. 50% of projects led by EIPM students have an immediate positive impact on the bottom line. Projects bring innovative approaches that provide significant long term benefits. The company accesses EIPM research and benchmarking through the EIPM alumni network. Confident MBA graduates forge effective relationships with key suppliers delivering competitive advantages to high performance companies.• Employers benefit from the cutting edge perspectives and tools acquired by their employees, positively impacting their bottom lines. Programme Structure The EIPM Global Executive MBA is a part time MBA. The programme consists of 14 residential modules, each lasting one week. Testimonials I believe that the EIPM MBA programme provides students with a quality learning experience. Each student brings with them a diverse range of professional and cultural experiences, which complement the theories presented, so that discussions are enlivened and enriched. The students that complete the B2B marketing module gain a strategic understanding of how marketing fits into their organisation Participating in the module is intensive, but also a lot of fun, with a good deal of laughter and social interaction outside the classroom. The students work well together and generate excellent work and excellent workshop outcomes Dr Kenneth Le Meunier-FitzHugues – Professor The EIPM Executive MBA specialised in purchasing is a truly challenging MBA! Attending the program while working full time required much dedication. However, it also allowed me to step back from the day to day and exchange ideas with successful people from many different industries and experiences. I was impressed with the quality of the professors who are talented and committed to provide global perspectives and forward-thinking applications to business issues. The program has an excellent format combining lectures and workshops to foster teamwork as well as networking opportunities. The Executive MBA program has provided me with invaluable tools making the overall learning experience a success. Zakariya Chaudhry - Alumni I’m honoured to be enrolled in the 1st EIPM MBA Program in China. To me, EIPM is not just a school, but a home and family. Aside from the amazing breadth of knowledge transmitted by the professors from famous European business schools, I was touched by their charisma as well. Here I also met my fantastic classmates from different industrial and cultural backgrounds. We spoke the same purchasing language and established true friendship. Diversity, teamwork and commitment have been the keystone of my EIPM experience. I truly believe our learning here will differentiate and sustain us in our future career development. Jean Deng – Alumni The EIPM MBA program is a well-rounded MBA program but is unique in having a focus on procurement. With the procurement function becoming ever more important, a procurement specialization gives our graduates an advantage in gaining very attractive jobs. Chief Procurement Officers are looking to change the skills and competencies of their staff and hiring an EIPM graduate is a way to do this. In addition, the participants in our programs are excellent. They are smart, global, and have practical work experience. This provides our participants with an opportunity to learn not only from world class faculty but also from each other. With the EIPM having campuses near Geneva and in Shanghai, participants have an opportunity to be part of a truly global MBA which is very enriching in today’s world.
