Program Description

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

MBA Entry criteria

• A degree in any discipline

• Relevant professional experience – preferably 5 years

English language level:

• IELTS (academic) no less than 6.5 overall and 6.0 in each band.

Structure

• 18 core papers including an applied business project

• 6 elective papers

Core papers cover all the foundations of business. Elective papers
enable you to specialise and customise your study.

Specialist areas

• International Business

• Operations and Management

• Marketing

• Human Resource Management

A minimum of 18 months is required to complete a specialisation.
Students can take papers from other areas in the University (for
example: Health or Education) and credit a maximum of 45 points
to the MBA.

PgDipBA Entry criteria

• A degree in any discipline

• A minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience
English language level:

• IELTS (academic) no less than 6.5 overall and 6.0 in each band.
Structure

• 16 papers

With successful completion of 16 papers, students may apply to
continue on to complete the MBA programme.

Time commitment and completion

Master of Business Administration

There are 6 x 8-week terms each year allowing you to complete the
degree in 12-18 months.

• 12-month study option

» 4 x 3-hour classes, plus personal study = approximately
52 hours per week

• 18-month study option

» 3 x 3-hour classes, plus personal study = approximately
39 hours per week

Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration

There are 6 x 8-week terms each year allowing you to complete the
diploma in 8 months.

• 8-month study option
» 4 x 3-hour classes, plus personal study = approximately
52 hours per week

• 12-month study option
» 3 x 3-hour classes, plus personal study = approximately
39 hours per week

Staff

Teaching is research informed and staff are chosen for their
academic and professional experience. 40% taught by adjunct
professors, current business practitioners and consultants.
