The Strategic MBA program is based upon a cross-disciplinary approach to complex business problems. As the name implies, strategic planning is integrated throughout this program. Courses incorporate real-world, applied learning via discussion of current business issues, case studies, simulations, team projects. Concentrations are available in accounting, finance, general business, management, marketing, and international business.
All courses may be completed online, or face-to-face in Sugar Land or Katy or a combination of online and face to face. Live campus classes meet one evening per week, from 7:00 – 9:45. Flexible scheduling accommodates complex personal and professional commitments. The 48-hour curriculum may be completed part-time in approximately 3 years, or full-time in 18 – 24 months. Face-to-face participation in the one day MBA Conference held in the Greater Houston area is required for all Strategic MBA students.
Students must complete one of the following concentrations:
- Human Resources Management
- International Business
- Economic Development
- Entrepreneurship Concentration
- General Business
Students must demonstrate sufficient skills in the following areas:
- Written/Oral Communication
- Quantitative Analysis
- Computer Usage
