Through regular interactions with knowledgeable professors and classmates, who are also experienced professionals, the Online MBA at Florida State University will help you move to the next level personally and professionally. All of this is possible without even stepping foot on campus.
Depending upon the interests of the MBA student, three concentrations are available as part of the online program.
- Real Estate Finance and Analysis
- General MBA
- Hospitality Administration
Concentration in Real Estate Finance and Analysis
The demand for graduate education in real estate has increased dramatically over the last decade due to the advancements that have taken place in the real estate finance and investment markets. This includes increased involvement of institutions in commercial real estate investment and lending activities, the growth in the securitization of real estate equity and debt assets on Wall Street (e.g., REITs, MBSs, and CMBSs), and the consolidation of regional real estate service firms into larger national and international entities.
Substantial opportunities exist in Florida's rapidly growing real estate market for graduates trained in commercial real estate finance and investment. Thus, in addition to having access to the best faculty and the highest quality course content, our Real Estate Concentration within the online MBA program prepares students to excel in an ever-changing marketplace.
For those students who prefer to take a variety of electives, the general option allows the flexibility to do just that. The three courses listed below will provide a broader view of issues relevant to a prospective MBA.
- FIN 5515 -- Investment Management and Analysis
- MAR 5409 -- Business-to-Business Sales and Marketing
- RMI 5136 -- Employee Benefit Plans
