This joint degree is designed to address the growing demand for graduates skilled in a range of IT technologies, as well as a worldwide demand for graduates with the critical business acumen to fully leverage these technical skills into profitable products and services.
This joint degree provides training in a variety of computer skills, as well as theory and practical skills in the following:

- E-business technologies;
This joint Master Business Administration – Master Information Technology is for Computer Science and Information Technology graduates who are interested in business and capable of extending their technical computing and information technology skills beyond the ordinary to develop profitable products and innovative services for employers.
The Master Business Administration – Master Information Technology program has a flexible choice of electives which allow students to embellish other areas of interest aside from computing, information technology and business to produce well rounded graduates with the advanced people and project management skills, ethical behaviour and professional vigour demanded in today’s face paced business environment.
- Completion of an undergraduate degree, equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree, in Information Technology or a related discipline, from this or another university; or
- Completion of either the Graduate Diploma or the Graduate Certificate of Information Technology from this university; or
- Other qualifications or practical experience recognised by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Law, Business and the Creative Arts as equivalent to the above.
- Students of non English speaking backgrounds must have an adequate English language capacity assessed under the Australian International English Language Testing System. An IELTS score of 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5 is required (Band 1 at JCU).
