The UBC MBA Part-time Program offers you the same top-calibre business education as our distinguished full-time degree. At the heart of the curriculum is the Integrated Core, an innovative ten-month program which combines seven key business disciplines into one foundation course. This unique approach, develops the broad management perspective, cross-functional and decision-making skills necessary to tackle the most complex business issues.
Building on the Integrated Core, you will go on to develop invaluable expertise across a broad range of key business subjects, linking business theory with business reality through case studies, team projects, guest speakers and problem-based learning. Your coursework will culminate in a comprehensive industry project, designed by you and your professors to showcase your business skills. Shaping the Future of Business It is the integration of leading edge knowledge from Canada's foremost research business school with practical, relevant management training that distinguishes the UBC MBA program. Using lectures, case studies, problem-based learning and group projects, the program prepares you to manage, motivate, innovate and lead. The workload is intense and demanding, but when you graduate, you'll be ready to make a difference in the way business is done.
The 28-month UBC MBA Part-time Program curriculum is comprised of four key components; the award-winning Integrated Core, Module Studies, the Career Development Program and an Industry Project for a total of 51 credits. Students can also elect to enroll in all or part of the Pre-Core Program, a preparatory program that prepares incoming students for the demanding nature of the Integrated Core experience.

UBC seeks bright, talented, enthusiastic, and creative individuals committed to a high level of achievement in their academic, personal, and professional lives. The UBC MBA candidate selection process is rigorous and is guided by the following criteria:
Candidates are recruited from diverse academic backgrounds. A four-year Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution is required. Candidates must have a solid academic record and a competitive GMAT score. Individuals who do not meet our academic requirements may require academic upgrading.
Professional Work Experience
Individuals with a broad range of personal and professional experiences are selected for the program as diversity in the classroom challenges the status quo and contributes to a rich and stimulating learning environment. Competitive applicants generally have more than two years of full-time post-baccalaureate work experience for admission to the program. Our Full-time and Part-time MBA students have, on average, between 6 and 8 years of full-time work experience.
Initiative and Motivation
Successful applicants demonstrate managerial and leadership potential, maturity, ambition, drive, and a clear sense of purpose. These characteristics are assessed based on professional experience, extracurricular activities, personal interests, and written submissions.
