The Executive MBA programme comprises about 620 hours of training taught in Portuguese and in English throughout 5 training modules which combine technical competences and a strong component of soft skills, such as personal development, communication techniques, the ability to make a decision, leadership and team management. It also includes an international week full-time at a Business School of acknowledged prestige.
Parallel to the curricular component, throughout the year a set of “outside the classroom” events are organised, such as the Alumni Seminars, Career Speed Dating Day, the Mentoring programme , Career Evenings and the Executive Meetings.
Porto Business School places great importance on the diversity of previous training, experience and age of the MBA participants, which it considers fundamental for the enriching of their training process.
The MBA students are, in average, 35 years old and have 11 years of professional experience (a minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required as a condition to access the MBA).
- Professional experience of a minimum of 5 years;
- Degree at an officially acknowledge school for higher studies;
- English and Portuguese skills.
Although the presentation of the scores of the GMAT – Graduate Management Admission Test is not compulsory, this is an important element to value an application, which means that not presenting it can only be considered case-by-case, by the jury.
On November 12th, 2012, the new GMAT Preparation Course will begin.
The application process should include the following documents:
- Application Form;
- Curriculum Vitae;
- Official document to confirm the academic qualifications;
- Certificate to confirm English knowledge;
- Document with the results of the GMAT- Graduate Management Admission Test;
- Development of 3 topics;
- Two letters of appreciation;
- Photocopy of the Identification Card.
After proper assessment of the elements provided, the candidates considered potentially eligible for admission are summoned for an interview lead by the selection jury of the Executive MBA.
The candidates will be assessed by a selection jury, based on the following criteria:
- Curriculum Vitae and professional experience;
- Personality and motivation;
- Marks and academic qualifications.
The candidates selected by the jury will be admitted to Module 0, also called homogenisation period, as of August. The integration of the candidates and definite students for the Executive MBA program is conditioned to the successful conclusion of Module 0.
In the first stage of enrolment, the Executive MBA will cost 18000 Euro. This amount is divided as follows:
- Registration – 1000 Euro
- Module 0 – 4250 Euro
- Module 1 – 4250 Euro
- Module 2 – 4250 Euro
- Modules 3 – 4250 Euro
In the second stage of enrolment, the Executive MBA will cost 19000 Euro. This amount is divided as follows:
- Registration – 1000 Euro
- Module 0 – 4500 Euro
- Module 1 – 4500 Euro
- Module 2 – 4500 Euro
- Module 3 – 4500 Euro
Alternatively, students may benefit from a 5% discount on the value of the tuition fee, should they pay in cash, when registering.
The submission of the application process costs €50,00 (non-refundable). The companies associated to the Porto Business School and their collaborator and the Porto Business School Alumni associates benefit from special conditions.
